Hilton Hotels, Paddington
Regarded as an icon of Victorian engineering, Hilton London Paddington, is one of the capital’s grandest hotels, and boasts a five-star rating.
So when it came to converting a nearby 1930s listed office block into a new annexe for the prestigious hotel, the most exacting of standards were required, combining traditional craftsmanship with the highest quality finishings on time and on budget.
Vascroft Contractors sought Hall and Tawse to provide specialist veneered door-sets as part of the project creating 56 luxury guest rooms as an annexe to the existing hotel with dedicated executive lounge and check in facilities.
The building lies between the existing Hilton London Paddington Hotel and Paddington Station and was designed to emphasise exclusivity. The use of finishes and materials was carefully considered to further enhance the feeling of luxury.
Externally, the building has a strong 30’s style, as does the hotel, which inspired the interior design. The scheme was designed to generate a residential feel and a timeless appearance.
This was a high-profile project which Hall and Tawse was able to apply its craftsmanship to supply bespoke door-sets to create the desired finish, one which exudes quality and luxury.
